What will I learn at your beginner boxing classes?

Beginner boxers start their training on a level 1 course and then progress to level 2, which covers essential moves, combinations and techniques. Our foundation level classes are also designed to improve your fitness and control. Gradually, beginner boxers are introduced to light sparring. We are very proud of our safe and friendly atmosphere, with a current gender ratio of 50/50 and the demographic comprising of students in their 20s to people in their 40s (with a good few people at either side of this bracket!).

After completion of your boxing foundation levels 1 & 2, you will be able to attend all boxing classes at Paragon Gym. Optionally, after progressing to the advanced level, you can start your journey towards competing in boxing tournaments under the careful supervision of our experienced trainers. What are some of the boxing techniques I can expect to learn in the beginner course?

At our beginner boxing course you will learn punches such as the jab, cross, hook, upper-cut, up-jab, and many more combinations!

You will also learn to move around the boxing ring, and progress to the advanced sessions which include light sparring.

What is the structure of your beginners boxing courses?

We offer a choice of either 8-week courses or 6-week courses. Both courses run on two mid-week days. There is also a free catch up session on Saturdays at 12 noon. The beginner boxing classes timetable and pricing are at the top of this page.
