What is the best way to learn boxing?
We offer boxing group classes as well as one to one boxing classes. Both give the opportunity to specialise in one of the founding fighting arts - boxing!
What levels of boxing classes do you run at your London gym?
We teach all boxing levels - beginner boxers should start on a level 1 course before progressing to level 2. These courses cover the essential techniques and combinations, with a gradual introduction to light sparring. Advanced boxers are welcome to get in touch and initially come to a foundation level class so that we can assess both your fitness and control levels. We also offer competition preparation for boxers who are looking to achieve competitive edge before a fight. Please see our timetable for our weekly schedule of our boxing classes. One to one boxing tuition is available every day - contact us for more information.
How will I develop my boxing skills at Paragon?
Our mixed ability boxing classes emphasise the importance of timing and distancing, which is best achieved through the introduction of controlled sparring and padwork drills. As students advance they will be equipped with a high level of skill, control and discipline, so they can progress with minimal risk of injury.
What boxing equipment is necessary at your classes?
We require all students to wear boxing gloves to the classes - if you don’t possess your own or forget to bring them to class, we have a number of gloves available to borrow or new ones to buy at our reception. If you’re attending a sparring session, you must wear a mouth guard which is available to buy at our gym reception. In addition, our advanced boxers who take part in sparring sessions may also wear a head-guard or boxing shoes, but these are not a requirement.
Where are your boxing classes held?
All boxing courses and sessions are held at our East London location in Shoreditch. The full address of our boxing club is: Paragon Gym 6-8 Boundary Street Shoreditch, Hackney E2 7JE Paragon is conveniently accessible through a number of public transport connections, including buses and underground routes, which take under 15 minutes from the City, Liverpool Street, Canary Wharf, Dalston, Hackney and many other London locations.
